Hello, I’m biased.
I don’t think it was suspension worthy. It was a bad play, but I can’t believe contact to the head was intentional. A game misconduct and no suspension was the right call here.

Agreed. Didn’t think it looked intentional and the right calls were made all around.
Just really unfortunate to see a player like him get yet another head injury. I don’t even like the Penguins(2016 Finals guuuuuhhhhh) but it’s just not good to see him go out like that.
Lifelong Ducks fan here, and hoo boy has there been some good hockey this season. After our first series against Calgary I was feeling p good, but Edmonton has had me scared after those first two games. They were finally able to kinda pick things up in game 3 but we’ll see how game 4 goes.
Though I don’t think it’ll happen I really want another Ducks/Senators final cause the last one was 10 years ago and I’d love to relive winning the cup whoops
yikes, the Sens got totally washed today.
Panthers fan checking in here. Its a shame we missed the playoffs since we made them last year, but also understandable considering our best players were held together by duct tape during the small time they were actually on the ice.
I am a long suffering Flyers fan. Hooray anyone that is playing the Pens and go Smashville because they are just fun to watch.
Nice to see fellow hockey fans on the forums
I came here to say all of this, especially the possibility of a Ducks/Sens Cup Final being the most ironic thing. You want a surefire way for Anaheim to become the most hated team for Canadian hockey fans? Step 1, have Ryan Kesler; Step 2, repeat of 2007.
I’m anxious about Game 4 tonight for sure, but if they win I’m buying tickets to Game 5. (I’ve been to 3 of the 4 most recent Game 7 losses, so I’m a little gun-shy to go to yet another elimination game).
Side note: Oilers fans seem like stand-up folks and we should sing the Canadian anthem at Game 5.
Avs fan from Ottawa (dad’s a Habs fan from Montreal so of course I cheer for the Nordiques -> Avalanche). Ottawa is capable of beating this Rangers team but Stone still isn’t right from that hit against the Jets and Turris disappears for stretches. Need them to be big to get by a very good and deep Rangers team.
I will echo quite a few here and say I’d like a Canadian team to win, but really my heart is pulling for Nashville and that amazing D. And watching Rinne is a treat at the moment.
I just want Ekblad to be healthy. No more head stuff. He’s so dang good.
Caps give up the first goal and then take the first penalty. I really like a lot of their players and it sucks to see them just fail so badly each postseason.
Jake Guentzel has a goal and an assist so far tonight, extending his playoff goals lead to three with 9, and tying him with Kessel for second in points.
Not bad for a rookie that was drafted in the 3rd round back in 2013, and only played 40 games in the regular season.
Hi, I am a Washington Capitals fan. Is this the place where we go for therapy and hugs
Not sure about that, but you join the Bruce Boudreau Curse Candidate Club with me if you’d like
It kind of blows my mind that the Oilers have a real shot this year. I still remember when my dad woke me up when I was six to watch the Oilers win the Cup “because I might not see it again” (they won the next year and than again two years after that, but it was a nice gesture).
It’s like every night is a lesson in how to fail at your job as a referee in sports.
NHL is in a tough spot when it comes to their striped talent. Lost a lot of veteran officials in a short string of time and now they’re forced to ice guys who clearly don’t know how to do their job in playoff games.
As a Canadian who is a fan of an American team, I would say that all Canadian teams look better on paper, because the local media has tunnel vision and over hypes their local team’s chances.
Dammit, Caps, would it have killed you to play as though that game was in some way important?
One thing that has been weird this postseason, as someone who lives in the Ottawa market and has a lot of friends who are Sens fans, is the national panels gushing over Erik Karlsson. It’s been a massive chip on Sens fans’ collective shoulders that he’s been consistently disrespected when being compared to the likes of Weber or Doughty, who play the game “the right way”. And now to hear him being lauded by CBC and Sportsnet panels is some straight up twilight zone shit. He’s been great for years, but for some reason this year he’s getting love and he’s hobbled. Go figure.
Playing through terrible injuries counts as playing the “right way” lmao
After the Sharks got eliminated and their injuries got revealed there was so much praise for Thornton playing on a torn MCL and ACL. As a Sharks fan I just rolled my eyes at that stuff while people who never gave a shit about hockey before talked about how courageous he was. Idk, that kind of stuff is always a lot more worrying than courageous to me.
I grew up in the Bay ostensibly rooting for the Sharks, but I adopted the Preds in 2011 when I moved to Nashville. Needless to say, I’m having a pretty good time.
