Back with some more recs.
Dia is another quintessentially Waypoint writer. And this beautiful, vulnerable piece is quintessentially Dia. I love the way she (seemingly) effortlessly cuts through the pretension of a Serious AAA Prestige Game like God of War to get at the heart of its earnest but flawed efforts at an emotional core that can’t help but reproduce the problems of the world it was made in.
And of course there’s Rob, a man who I am forever jealous of his command of the written word. Seriously what the fuck. As much as he calls himself a jack of all trades, he’s put way too many points into eloquence and it shows. I hate that it’s about JK, but Rob’s surgical precision is well-aimed in this piece.
