This E3 is so depressing because so many games I see have beautiful environmental art direction and incredible lighting but in order to play in that gorgeous world I need to be Powerful Dude Who Kills Everyone.
I’m tired of feeling like a badass.

The aesthetic they’re leaning into with Rage kinda makes me uncomfortable? It’s trying for something goofy & light-hearted on one hand, and on the other it’s all about brutally dismembering punks & mutants.
I have a hard time not thinking about the queer-coding in the things Rage is pulling inspiration from, or the thinly veiled ableism that mutant stand-ins tend to evoke in this kind of fiction.
I didn’t really want to go on a murder romp as a wasteland cop to begin with, but especially not now given the tone of that latest footage.

Watching Prey I have to say, to be fair to Bethesda, overall they’ve been doing a good job at reviving older IP’s. Maybe Rage 2 will be surprising too.
I am VERY interested in a Prey story mode. I loved traversing/exploring in Prey, but hated any enemy encounter.
