As someone who works in phone repair the Cado tub story was a little infuriating lol.
Summary
iPhones are more waterproof than they’ve been but the degree of proofness is still vastly overrated. What Cado ought to have done with no shop nearby would be to tilt it upwards and bump out the water, then keep it in a warm and dry place with the sim tray open to air out over a day or two.
Ideally a shop would take it in, disassemble it, bathe and scrub the components in iso before drying it over a couple days, it could save you a whole new phone, but sounds like Cado just fried it by putting power through the components ^^’
