Yeah, well - the defense when we were getting into it this morning went from like… kinda all over the place looking panicked, to like… all over the place confused, like, also unaware of who was what.

Thank you to @SuperBiasedGary, @just_benj, and @erica for the well-played, which I return to each of you.
Gotta say, I understand why CodyDaviesTV (or, as they became known in mafia chat, CDTV) went for Vehe but I was honestly convinced they had investigated and cleared erica or serbroseph based on their conduct. It was part of our reasoning for voting for him (despite him probably being a more skilled player than I was, which I could not abide 
).
I was sure there was enough town paranoia and uncertainty to let the knights split their votes between the two of us. I’m amazed all four of you voted for me. Wow.
i was able to keep myself alive by portraying myself as (or just…actually being) a useful tool for the knights and/or as buttpan, and i’d be moderately proud of that if it didn’t mean i also tanked my reputation and lacked the cachet to force a vote onto vehemently today.

Also kudos to you and @erica putting your differences aside to wait to hear from the rest of the group. That had me sweating for sure as I thought it was going to be an erica vs anime debate.

We, or at least I, thought you were Buttpan and that was the reason you were so willing to sacrifice yourself to Auntie Knuckles. You would have survived and been cleared as a battler.

I feel like I could play another 15 games of this, and maybe slowly start to build competence. Maybe.
Although it’d probably be impossible to lose as town faster.

Phew I can talk again. Good job everyone, that was an above average quality first Mafia game.
For a few reasons, things were actually closer than they seemed. The town played well for a first game and there were a few almost-tipping points. For example, the Mafia would have completely crumbled if one or two votes had gone differently on the serbroseph/muffinsyay day.
On Night 1 I investigated Erica, but since the Doctor died I had to protect her from the kill without giving it away, so robowitch got that part right in her guess about what I was doing that day.
Unfortunately the Mafia killed me anyway for pushing my suspicion on Serbroseph. When he came under suspicion the next day the Mafia even pooled all their votes together which is a risky thing to do, since after all Clyde practically caught them all in a post today and if one of them had been caught they all would have been caught together, so that was a deciding point in the game I think.
Then Night 2 I investigated Vehemently then got shot. So really, don’t feel bad, Town - without that incredibly lucky 1-2 punch of perfectly sniping the doctor and cop in order things would have gone very differently from Day 3 onward. Luck is a part of the game in that way and shooting every power role in order isn’t a usual occurrence.

No one will believe me, but when you mentioned vehemently earlier in the day I almost followed up on that, but I thought our best options were serbroseph and Clyde. The last minute vote was me not liking how long it was taking Just_benj to vote so I threw it out there on a whim.

I threw down the Clyde or Erica with a strong “we need to exile someone” thing with hopes of splitting people, and got really nervous when there was 0 response to it. Like - “okay, knights are cool with either, or neither of those going.”

I am going to walk home now so the post mortem will be up later but I WANT to say that the idea of so many Big Plays Enjoyers as regular players is EXTREMELY exciting.

Do you feel that the knights had a tough climb in general? I’m so used to quick and fast daytime discussions that run off of emotion and hunches. With so much time to pick apart everyone’s statements, I felt like I had to be so careful to be consistent.
I won’t deny our extreme luck to get those roles out of play so fast.
The thing is that the knights have a much bigger advantage as far as communication goes in forum mafia.

I can’t wait for the DMs to come out because this was actually what scared me the most about killing you. In fact, here’s some of what I said:
For what it’s worth, my thoughts about you voting for erica were my genuine thoughts. I couldn’t understand your behaviour without that context, although it was entirely post-hoc. Your vote for serbroseph felt a lot more like it was fishing for one of us to snap to a reaction, which is both a smart move for an experienced player and potentially a big tell for Crowbar.
Your vote for SerBroseph, in reality, nearly saved your life.
You’re telling me. I was really considering (sorry to reveal this, fellow Knights) dropping my vote because of how clustered we were and was absolutely considering the scenarios where I’d be voting for them to keep myself in the fight (since my hunch was that I was suspected the least, even if I did happen to only start being really active after Crowbar was dead 
).

Sitting in Mcds on my break, wildly gesturing, smacking the table, looking like a complete doofus. Which is appropriate, because I look like a complete doofus here too. Jeez. Really well done, y’all. I hope to see everyone again if we do a second game. Maybe we should all try and workshop some less suspicious characters in the meantime…

Other fun facts: because the last submission of the night phase was considered to be the mafia target, they almost didn’t kill cody night 2 because cado submitted a late No Kill suggestion, only to be rescued at the last possible moment
