I’d love to have a version of Shadow of the Colossus (and perhaps ICO, too) on the PS4 that didn’t require the use of PSNow. The PS3 remaster was great, I just wish there was a way to play that without digging out an older console.
Aye, some games should never be out of print.
Tony Hawk’s Underground 1 & 2 and American Wasteland! Those games are really fun. More people need experience the best villian in any game ever which is Eric Sparrow!
Wow, these looks amazing. That would make for a great remaster for sure.
Also seconding DeS and DkS1. They had it pretty rough, and personally I think DkS3 is a gorgeous game so if we could get a similar coat of pain on the oldies, it could be pretty wonderful.
Mass Effect is the first thing that comes to mind for me. I love that game to death, and it’d be nice to have a new console version that smoothes over a lot of that game’s rougher edges.
Though, honestly, I’d rather it be the whole Mass Effect Trilogy instead of just the first game. Too bad EA is the one company that doesn’t seem to want to remaster any games.
Joke Poast; Battletoads
Actual take; The Arcade Version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
If I could play a version of the mass Effect trilogy where each game had the combat of ME3 I’d be in love all over again.
I love the style but I would buy the heck out of a FFTactics remake looking as slick as other similarly animated games these days
Viewtiful Joe. It’s been long enough.
Oh definitely viewtiful joe. It’s an absolute shame that game never got a sequel.
Fallout: New Vegas comes to mind for me as well. Demons Souls I think is also a good pick but Dark Souls I think needs a Remake more than a remaster. The PC version of that game actually still looks good it just needs its end game improved.
Battletoads: the original 2-D Dark Souls
I desperately need a Warcraft 3 remaster? Modern Blizzard models and cinematics about the original stuff with Arthas and Illidan would be Really Really Nice.
The Sonic fanboy in me says Sonic Adventure. Sega has re-released that game like four or five times now and all they do is apply more chewing gum and duct tape to what was a rushed Dreamcast launch title. The game as it stands today is a mess of sloppy fixes and anachronistic “updates” that just make it even more obvious how dated the game actually is.
The only problem is they’d probably botch the remake, too.
freedom fighters
I lucked out pretty hard on this front. Grim Fandango is my favoritest thing of all things. Full Throttle is up there too. Outcast is getting a remake. Shadow of the Colosus and Journey got the goods.
Mass Effect would be cool, but having finished a trilogy replay within the past couple years, you know, they’re not in the worst shape really. A high res mod or two and you’re solid.
The only one I can think of that lights a fire under me is dipping back in the adventure game bucket and going with Curse of Monkey Island. But even then, with ScummVM, any one minute you have a pc with an internet connection, you’re five minutes from being able to play CMI.
I am truly blessed.
How dope would a 2D dark souls be though??? where you get to play as toads??
Skies of Arcadia. Hell, I’d take a port at this point.
Not that old, but Far Cry 2 comes to mind for some reason. It’s a really fascinating game with a lot of interesting ideas that I think people should have a chance to play again as it approaches its 10 year anniversary. Tighten up the shooting and sharpen the textures and you’ve got a great open world game with a picturesque, criminally underused setting.
Hi selfish gamer here requesting a full remaster of all 3 Drakengard games. None of them are “good” but like how the remake of the movie The Fly spun that into absolute gold, there are the bones of great games resting in them that just need to be unlocked with a full restructuring of the first two games and the third keeping a decent framerate and including the prologue dlc. It’s not that hard. I hear the Dynasty Warriors people aren’t busy these days just have them do it.
