As someone who hasn’t engaged at all with God of War, I’m definitely interested in seeing how they thread the needle of keeping Kratos’ ‘edge’ (so to speak) while making it work with the child character. I’m hopeful that it’ll produce something interesting that invites nuanced discussion, since I’d hate for a genuine effort to third-dimensionalise the character turn into “oh, Kratos is a dick and a bad dad”? That might be a little naive of me, though.
