Going Back to Wolfenstein After E3? Don't Play it Like 'Doom'

A bunch of us are playing, or replaying, MachineGames’ 2014 shooter—and here’s some of what I’ve learned so far.

I picked up Wolfenstein during E3 because of all the good things I heard about it after the sequel announcement. Decided to drop it down to “Don’t Hurt Me” so I could go a little more run & gun. Found that I was enjoying it more that way.

I had this problem at first also.

Part of me hopes that they’ll realize how fun the gameplay was from Doom and inject more of that into the new Wolfenstein. Since it seems like they’re giving BJ the power-armor, it’d be a great in-game explanation for why BJ was faster, stronger, more resilient. A part of me likes how vulnerable you seem in TNO, and I actually really liked the stealth aspects, but I would not frown if they sped up the gameplay a little bit.
