So, while I’m not from Russia, I will say the recent news surrounding Navalny has felt different than the usual cycle of, 'Hey, I’m against Putin. Oops, I’m poisoned." Him going to jail is worrying, but it seems like Russia has bucked a bit from it’s usual hardline stance from public outrage.
