How have games helped you with real world skills?

Today I had my first class of the semester, and that was Japanese Art. This semester I’m also gonna start to learn Japanese, and I can only thank Springloaded Games and their little rhythm game called Hiragana Pixel Party, which put the final nail in the coffin of what is my entire fascination and wonder with Japan and Japanese culture, at last propelling me to learn the language by making it fun to learn their characters system. In January I bought this game and quickly became engrossed by it, and now I finally took the necessary steps to what I can only imagine is gonna be a long road. I now know a little Hiragana and hope that can help me with the class.
