I appreciate their update, although I figured the delays were down to this. Their conceptual solution to the multiplayer situation is really smart and I’m glad they’ve gone with it (and farmer-farmhand marriage is totally a nice surprise). Even if Barone had been conceptualising multiplayer from day one, the stories of 15,000 lines of rewritten code definitely don’t surprise me. Farming games are, by and large, solitary experiences by their nature and I’m sure the code didn’t anticipate all the possibilities that come with multiplayer originally.
I hope it turns out well and keeps this as a success story for Barone.
