Me this entire race:
God, all of Hamiltonās crew scrambling around not knowing what was going on was hilarious.
Apparently this was the race that Mercedes allowed Drive to Survive to film, probably because it being at home court with the celebrations and all. I absolutely cannot wait to see that.
Yeah itās going to be such a good episode. They clearly wanted this to almost be a big show off event for them and it going wrong in every single way possible was hilarious.
This was the first race with Mercedes new CEO too, wasnāt it?
I donāt know, but he was the guy sitting next to Toto Wolff during the race, so thatās a lil extra flavour added to the stew.
I feel like I personally got F1 interesting again, in some weird arrogant way.
I started watching 4 or so races ago, and people have been talking about how crazy and good F1 has been these last few races.
So, youāre welcome. Iāll try to keep it interesting.
Hereās the highlight reel btwā¦
I took Velteri Bottas off my fantasy team for the first time since the second race just 20 minutes before qualifying. Of course he would get pole position and win. Thatās just how my season has gone. Every change has backfired (except picking up Albon after his promotion, but that was a no-brainer that everyone should have done).
What an incredible Formula 1 race! So many strong performances, and so much drama.
I feel really bad for Sainz (starting last place, ending up 4th!) if he gets the third spot on the podium post race, and didnāt get the chance to be up there and celebrate.
Truly incredible!!! I just started watching this September after Drive to Survive got me hooked, and this was an absolutely amazing race to watch start to finish. Because Iām so new to watching Motorsport Iām still trying to understand pretty much everything, but Iām sad that the season ends in just a couple weeks. Sainz has almost instantly become my favorite driver to cheer for.
A lil addendum. He was the only driver during that race who only did one pit stop! He was driving on like 40 lap old mediums.
