Any way to remove required answers? I don’t feel like I should be voting in categories where I haven’t seen even one of the films.
The Oscars picking the one Disney/Pixar film up for nomination is so, so boring.
That sucks I’m so tired of them doing that. So much interesting, challenging animation out there today and they pick the same shit every year.
Well this is cool to see, at least
And shout out to Jin Won Han for reminding the viewers that there are other places movies get made besides Hollywood
7:07: The Lighthouse not winning for Cinematography… the disrespect.
8:02: The montage of people who passed this year is always quite sad, but every time I remember Godfrey Gao is gone I am immediately in tears. Rutger Hauer, too… rough year.
I bought Parasite on a whim because I saw it at the Target checkout and it seems like I’m going to have to sit down and watch that bad boy sooner rather than later, huh?
Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and BEST PICTURE!
I like Toy Story 4 and all. It’s fine.
But how do you not just see like 10 seconds of Klaus and not just give it to that.
EDIT: good speech
It sucks that The Irishman didn’t win anything, and I fucking hate that 1917 won best cinematography over The Lighthouse…
BUT BONG WON THOUGH, AND THAT FUCKING RULES
EDIT: lol at Bombshell winning anything
Yay for Bong! I’m still sad for Roma, but it makes me happy to know it played a part in pushing Hollywood into this awesome outcome this year.
Won $3K tonight.
'Twas a good Oscars.
GONG(s) for BONG.
Happy to see Parasite get all the awards. I’m hoping to see it for a second time this week.
I like all actor/actresses nominees of the Oscar this year.
All of them deserve to have the statuette of the best.
Props to Joaquin Phoenix for taking his moment to remind everyone how shitty meat and dairy consumption are.
Really!!! I missed this!!!
I was watching last night with some very conservative family members who were talking all night about how they love to see all the dresses and learn about new movies, but they hate how political the awards shows have become. I was excited to see them get mad, but for the entire time we watched nothing came up that upset them. We went home before the actor categories, but I would have LOVED to see their reaction to that!!
Good lord I went on a heater!
I had a dream last night that The Academy was afraid Bong Joon Ho wouldn’t be able to speak English well enough to give his speeches, so Tom Hanks accepted all of his awards on his behalf. Not sure exactly what this says about my subconscious feelings about the Academy, but it’s nothing good.
I am dying to see how the Joker bros respond to this.
