I’ve gotten the Tracer and Mei skins. It’s a shame I don’t play Tracer, because that is a fire skin. I do play Mei but I don’t actually like the Mei skin. Maybe if her blizzard was swapped out for a swarm of bees, or she shot bees and sprayed honey.
I’ve gotten 5 dances. D.va’s and Torb’s for the units I play, and Roadhog’s, Widow’s and Lucio’s for the units I don’t. I’ve got about 8K credits saved up so I’ll probably pick up most of what I want but don’t get.
I can’t decide if that would be cute or if it would give me nightmares.
I’ve got the skins for Bastion, Hanzo, Tracer, & 76. Honestly only like Tracers & I don’t use her. Besides those I’ve gotten multiple boxes which are just player icon’s & voice lines I’ve already gotten. It’s really infuriating.
Update: Oh wait I just got the Tracer skin 2 times now! Great!

I bought 50 boxes at the start of this and got Mei, Bastion, Genji and Lúcio.
I’ve gotten legendaries since on boxes I played for, and a lot of them have had either duplicates of skins I have already, gold, or legendaries that aren’t from the event.
I had enough duplicates from other events and boxes that I bought Symmetra’s skin. I’m tempted to buy Tracers, but I’m having the same issue I had during the Uprising event, which is that I wanted to buy Genji’s b/c it looked really good, but I don’t… play Genji.
Basically, any time Overwatch has an event, I buy a certain number of boxes if there are any skins I care about, and then just play until I either have enough money or get the skins I want. I’m fucked this summer though, because I work at a school and am basically unemployed for 2 months out of the year, and haven’t saved a lot this time around.
Woof, that rough.

mmmmmm, I dunno, I’m usually all for the plurality of ships that blossom with canon but also Mei is my wife as Zarya, a bit, kinda? And who could tear Roadhog and Junkrat apart?
…from a less jealously monogamous POV, I mean, I have trouble shipping Mei and Junkrat because I… don’t see Mei into that particular sort of trash-fire heap that is the junkboy? And their only canon interaction is her saying “then maybe you should look somewhere else.”

I just mean the wordplay is excellent. I don’t really see them as a couple either. Then again, opposites attract, and if an animated cat and a human woman can make it work then there’s hope for all of us.

Even though the majority of items I got were white and blue duplicates, that also means I now have enough credits for Mercy’s dance emote and a bunch of voicelines. I think I’m happy. I could complain about all the duplicates, but it’s not like I’d be using all the new items anyway. I’m still using same skins for Bastion and Tracer I’ve always used. Mercy’s “Mist” skin hasn’t been bested by an event skin (even though "Eidgenossin came close). Etc. Etc.

This about sums up how good I am at this game. Note: that win with Hanzo was luck, since that is by far my least played hero.
Got a couple of dance emotes (sombra and junkrat off the top of my head) and the cyborg76 skin but that’s it of note. Bought 5 boxes with credit I had left, levelled up about 10 times since the event started, and got 3 arcade boxes each week, totalling 21 boxes. The drop rate is absolute bullshit. I’ve only managed to gain about 600 credits from dupes in that time as well, leaving me on ~1750 iirc. I want more dance emotes but all I’ll be REALLY pissed about is not getting that d.va skin.

Not to get all serious over what is clearly a lighthearted conversation, but I take umbridge with this ship because Mei actively DISLIKES Junkrat. These opposites do not attract and it’s kind of a returning and potentially harmful trope in M/F ships that the lady has to give up her principles to date the guy she does not like. It’s the same with people who ship Junkrat and Symmetra because they think Symm needs to “lighten up”. No. She’s austistic and needs order in her life, not a dirty smelly boy who likes blowing things up. Leave her alone.
Besides, both Mei and Symmetra are lesbians.
Based solely on my experience yesterday with a random person it is obvious to me that Junkrat & Soldier 76 is a legitimate & good pairing. I mean just look at them! Their having a great time. This message has been payed & sponsored by the Junkrat Main Association.
The reason for the trope is that it works well for drama and it’s worth pointing out that the opposite version is equally as dangerous (she changes him).
Doesn’t the possibility of him trying to clean up nice for an expensive dinner sound endearing?Everything goes well but after he walks her home he has to blow something up. When she finds out, she is disappointed, but begins to realize that she cares for him and understands that arson is part of who he is. So she like starts making igloos for him to destroy. It probably needs to end with a separation though.
I mentioned the trope because it doesn’t just exist in a vacuum, it might actually harm actual women because it comes with the notion that romantic relationships need to be based on friction rather than mutual interests and friendship.
Oh well, it’s clear we’re not going to sway each other to the other side. Let’s leave it at this.

Did not play Overwatch last night, opted to finish Samurai Jack and play some Injustice 2 instead.
