I’m about to delete my twitter and would love to get more involved in meaningful games discussion once in a while. I’m very interested in old games,fpga machines, etc. but have found a lot of the communities around those things to be pretty toxic, looking for other avenues!
Hello – been following Waypoint since the start but joining the conversation for the first time. I found Waypoint via Giant Bomb but have really enjoyed the separate identity Waypoint has developed for itself over time.
I’m a data scientist in NY and have progressed (regressed?) in online games from Dota>FFXIV>Overwatch>Destiny. Also a major Steam library to tackle some days. Just had a baby so figuring all that out, too!

Long time listener, first time poster here. I can trace back my Waypoint lineage to Gita Jackson’s first posting of the “Untitled Chicagoans Podcast” on twitter w/ Sam Phillips and a Patrick Klepek. In the past I’ve felt talking to strangers on the internet was equal parts terrifying and unfulfilling, but as my close friends drift away from gaming, I’ve been looking for a new outlet to chat about my favorite hobby.

Hey there guys! I was directed to you by a mutual friend of ours. I’m 31, American and male. During the day I’m a healthcare professional but in my game time I’m just a big geek. I’m a hardcore fan of the game and the lore, I like to think I’m super friendly and fun to play games with. I love doing stuff as a team no matter if it’s just quick play crucible or helping friends get caught up. I love raids but find it hard to organize them. Hi everyone, I’m Elliot (he/him)! I’m a graphic designer/digital artist from Ohio.
I started following Waypoint about a year ago, when someone linked an episode of the podcast that was covering a then-current news story I was interested in; I found it to be a really enjoyable listen, and I was really into it! I’ve been following the website/podcast since then.
Outside of art, my main hobby is, I mean…video games! RPG is probably my favorite genre, but I’m pretty open to any genre of game, really; mostly these days I just play Guild Wars 2 tho :V
