Oy, introduce yourself!

Hi, I’ve been listening to Waypoint since the start. Everyone they’ve had on the crew has been a delight and a great way to find people to follow on twitter.

Yo what’s poppin. I’m Cancakes and I’ve been listening to Friends at the Table for a year now and I’ve been whittling my way through Waypoint Radio and got a hankerin to pop into the community and also play some games with some folks. Mostly because I heard tons of people like Destiny and I tried it and it seemed sort of like setting up an arcane ritual in terms of onboarding but folks in here seemed to be about it.

Hey yall I’m David. My name is doot on here because it was short and I guess the skeleton trumpet meme was on my mind when I joined ¯\(ツ)

I’m here after following Danielle and Rob from Idle Thumbs, and Patrick and Austin from Giant Bomb. Waypoint was my dream team of games people. I kinda fell off from video games over the last few years, but under SIP I’m back at it!

Hello everyone!
I’m Dax Jackson (he/they), @dmotz on twitter. I’m 30 and live in Baltimore and I’ve been listening to and reading waypoint since like 2018 I think? I think I first became aware of it when Austin Walker guested on Polygon’s Awful Squad PUBG series (the best episode, to be clear) and then became more familiar through some Giant Bomb E3 videos (I somehow didn’t get into Giant Bomb when Austin or Patrick were involved).

I think it was the Kingdom Hearts Lore Reasons series that finally got me listening to the podcast regularly… and I don’t even play those games! Anyway, Waypoint Radio continues to be one of the smartest and funniest games podcasts out there and always brightens my Mondays and Fridays.

The occasional shout-out to the Waypoint discord community on the pod has had me wondering how to join for a while now and I guess this is all to say that I’d love to be a part of it if you’ll have me!

Hey everyone!

I’m a 40 year old nurse from Wisconsin. Gaming helps me relax and deal with the stress of my job and the horrible state of healthcare system in the US. Fuck Capitalism, Go Home!

Hi all.
I’m 26, I live in sydney, australia, work at a bookshop but mainly waste my life on videogames~~ I haven’t been on a forum in about a million years but the waypoint community seems like maybe the only good one on the internet? who can say.

I’m interested in soviet era sci fi, sad stories and lit crit even though I don’t really know much theory. Talk to me about themes.
oh I guess I’m also on twitter @milquetoes if you wanted to subject yourself to that/see my face

Hey folks,
My name’s Num! I’m an artist who moderates on a leftie discord and a trans rpg discord, while playing a little too much Destiny 2. I’ve been following the podcast for years now and have so many pals in the community that I figured I ought to sign up.

Hello everyone. I like playing (and making) video games! I really enjoy trying new strategy and role-playing games, but I’m somehow still grinding away at Destiny 2…

Hi I’m Tommy, 28, from London.
3 games I’m playing right now:

  • AC New Horizons
  • Dragon Quest 11
  • Destiny 2

I don’t think I’ve ever forum’d before but it’s nice to be here :ok_man:

Hi everyone, I’m Sinjun and go by @SBalabanoff on Twitter. Just a lifelong fan of games and movies, found myself with some free time so thought I’d check this place out. Work as a cinematographer for a living.

Hi everyone. My name’s Louis and I’m from France. I was a listener of Three Moves Ahead and really enjoyed Rob’s hosting, which led me to Waypoint a few years back.

I’ve enjoyed lurking on the forums for a while and I’d like to try to take part.

Hello everyone! Over the past few years video games have become a bigger part of my life. And so I really love thoughtful video game discussions and hot takes. So I’ve been enjoying Waypoint Radio for about a year now, and figured I was overdue to join the forums.

Hello, I’ve been looking for a community for Animal Crossing. My wife said there a good community here and I listen to the podcasts.

Hi, I’m q. I’m a queer enby looking for more people to play video games with. I’ve been listening to the podcast forever, and finally decided to join the community here.

Hey, I’m Nick (he/him) and like many of the people above, I’ve been a long time waypoint follower and decided to join the forum out of a recent-ish desire to talk to other people. And when I’m not listening to 5* runtime podcasts or playing trackmania, I’m hanging out in programing and game development discords.

Hi all,

My name’s Adam (@adam_hamza9 on the Twitterverse). I’m not really new here – I joined the forums a while ago and mostly lurked – but I never introduced myself. I’m Egyptian-American, 29, go by he/him, and will be graduating from graduate school this summer with a degree in multimedia journalism. I got hooked on Waypoint and Waypoint Radio after stumbling upon the podcast somehow (I don’t remember how, but it was back before Rob was a regular voice on the show).

I haven’t really been on a forum since my teenage years playing modded Freelancer online, but I’ve enjoyed dropping in and out of a couple of threads for podcast ideas and reviews on games and shows. So, hi there. Nice to finally meet you all and say hello.

Hello! My name’s Alex. Over the last few months Waypoint Radio has become my favorite podcast and the little bits of the community I’ve touched has been pretty great and I want to get to know it more.

Hi, I’m Venneh! 30-something in Chicago with a cute ass polydactyl cat! Followed a lot of the folks here on other sites and followed them here when they announced it. Other than video games I like reading, cooking, and gardening. Cat photo tax below.
