Oy, introduce yourself!

Hi Jen! I know you from Twitter!
(It’s AppleCiderWitch!)

Nice to see you here.

Hi, I’m BalanceAlpha.
I haven’t been on a forum for 10 years because I got sick of the weird lord of the flies feeling that kept cropping up. I figured that if any forum was going to be not a horrible nightmare it would probably be the waypoint one.

Hi! I’m Chuck! Frequent denizen of the internet but haven’t actively participated in a forum for years. I’ve only been on this one for about… 30 minutes, and I’m already in love. The layout and functionality is so good.

Discovered Waypoint via Patrick Klepek and his work on Kotaku. Didn’t follow it for a while until recently when I began listing to Waypoint Radio and started making the articles a part of my daily dose of games journalism. Really digging it so far!

Hey All I’m Reece, he/him, I followed Patrick and Austin over at Giantbomb but only really caught Waypoint every now and then, but figured i’d come over and jump right in, and only just realized there’s this really nice forum over here.

I’m an Australian Cinematographer (well mostly a wannabe Australian Cinematographer ) and an average photographer, if you want I post stuff on my Insta at www.instagram.com/reeceerdman or my showreel at www.reeceerdman.com if that interests you

Hi, I’m SnowCrashed, and I’m old enough for there to be as many years between my current age and the theatrical release of Gladiator, as there are between my birth year and that movie’s release.

I’m also pretending that joining a forum of fellow Waypoint fans will help me think less about the possible end of the world at the hands of monstrous authoritarians.

To be serious, though, I discovered Waypoint earlier this year. Since then, I’ve hungrily gone through many podcasts, articles, and Twitch streams. WP has quickly become one of my favorite sources for games writing and commentary anywhere.

HEYO.
Been meaning to sign up for a bit, and my hand was forced by wanting to join the Waypoint Destiny 2 clan. Got here via Friends at the Table. Currently playing too too much in little bites between work times, including Absolver, Destiny 2, Persona 5 and Mario+Rabbids.

Hi Waypointies - I’m an Englishman and I’ve lived in Sydney Australia for nearly 20 years. Coming from a very Mac background I’m pretty much exclusively a PS4sman at the moment.

I’m old enough to have enjoyed Austin from the Giant Bomb days and P-Klep from Scoops & the Wolf

I’m 45 enough to know that divorce will do wonders for how much time one can devote to gaming :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I’m ideas-y enough to appreciate that Waypoint reaches the parts other channels/verticals/zones cannot reach :exploding_head:

Hello chaps, I’m uh… Neurasthenic, I’m from Brazil (although mostly engaged with international culture), mid to late 20s, PC gamer at heart, but passionate about games & gaming as a whole. Love discussions about games, game design, literary reviews, essays, in depth analysis and such.

Not that I’m particularly bright and opinionated about that, but I’m open to learn, that is what counts right?

Anyway, currently I’m trying to pull myself away from the poisonous swamps of toxicity that infects every site I like, following a Waypoint that someone put on my map (yes, bad joke, I’m not sorry for that :upside_down_face:).

Hi, my name is Kitsu (they/them) and I’m in my mid-30s. I’ve been a huge nerd all my life and am also really bad at introducing myself. It’s been a while since I’ve wanted to join a forum to talk about my interests, and the community here seems really lovely.

Hi. I go by Space Jammer Slammi online (sometimes JammerSlammi or just Slammi if name length rules are bein’ rude). She/her pronouns, and based in Missouri, USA. I’m a 29 year old internet nerd, into video games and comic books and cartoons and all that stuff. Waypoint is one of the very, very few sites that my job’s network doesn’t block on work computers, so it seemed like a good place to pick to talk to people about things. I’ve been around the internet since the 90s, in too many places to count, using a billion different screennames.

My favorite video games Of All Time are Super Mario Bros 3 and Chrono Trigger, though my favorite game franchise is Kirby. Pokémon gets a lot of love from me too. I’m big into Nintendo but I play more PC games than anything these days, and while I really enjoy playing MMOs (especially with RP communities), I haven’t found one that’s stuck with me since City of Heroes shut down.

I’m on twitter as @JammerSlammi also! Feel free to hit me up or follow or whatever. I’m almost interesting.

Realized I’d never posted here, so!

Hey, I’m Parfait! I’m 22 years old and I used to do writing about video games on some smaller websites (mostly Life is Strange or dating sims) but stepped away for a temporary break that eventually became permanent, because really, I like reading this stuff more than I like writing it. So I was super excited when I started to see some of Waypoint’s coverage and it was exactly what I wanted to read!

Right now, I’m on a pretty big Chucklefish kick because of how excited I am for Wargroove and their unnamed magical school RPG, but I usually spend my time with basically any game you can play on mobile. I also have a huge nostalgic fondness for games that were poorly translated into English from other languages, especially Pokemon rip-offs.

Happy to be here!

I’m Ed. I’ve been bouncing around the gaming communities since 1999 or so and I’m looking for a nice place to discuss some gaming.

Howdy, I’m Cass (she/her), and I’m a technical writer / designer / gunpla builder / synthesizer & video dork from Minnesota! Signed up for an account when the forums opened and prrrromptly forgot about it until today :ghost:

I mostly play MMOs and MMO-lites (FFXIV, Destiny 2, Phantasy Star Online 1), some PUBG, and Style Savvy. Lots and lots of Style Savvy. But what I’ve really gotten into lately is integrating old game video/audio into my synth setup.

Followed the crew for years, and honestly, couldn’t be happier with how Waypoint turned out as a whole. The community seems super nice, too, so here I am!

Just a dysthymic person trying to reduce distraction in my life while still being able to live and provide for my small family (SO+dog). I’m also a little lonely, hence my need to post on forums.

'Ello thar. I’m TheLazyHare (he/him or they/them). It’s a username I haven’t used before, but ¯\ _ (ツ)_/¯ . My older usernames are all tied with terrible fanfiction I wrote in middle school, and the world is not yet ready for those .

I’m a professional writer with just enough publishing credits to call myself that and not enough to quit my bank job. I dabble in game dev, love silver age sci-fi/fantasy, and I’ve recently been super fond of strange freeware horror games.

As for why I’m here, that piece on playing Final Fantasy VII in an age of environmental disaster was the clencher for me being a fan. If this is a community of folks who love pieces like that, I want in.

Hey folks, I’m Sh00rs1gn (Sure-Sign), I’m @Sh00rs1gn on Twitter; something I primarily use for creative purposes. I love all things books be it reading, listening or writing; I’m forever daydreaming and hope that one day I might write and publish a novel.
I’m always looking for ways to improve my story-telling and I certainly hope that I might be able to put something up on the Workshop for people to read, comment and criticise.
Outside of that, I’m a Research Assistant who cycles to work and devours books/music/podcasts by the truckload. I’m passionate about games and the stories they tell as well as the experiences I’ve shared with my other friends online I play with regularly.
I’m glad to be here and hopefully I’ll stick around for some time

Long time first time. Been following waypoint for a while and was interested in the types of conversations that they seem to be having, so came to the conclusion that these maybe continued in the forums. I saw that you should say hi here, so my name is Billy and hi!

o hi i’m Sam i’m from Texas i have two dogs and i’m a dude i guess, most days

believe it or not i actually found waypoint thanks to Rob, Strategy Gaming’s Largest Son

i read a lot of history and play with dogs and lift weights and play some music sometimes and stuff

i’m pretty bad at games but i like them all the same but i will never Git Gud

Yo, I’m Andrew from Sacto, CA. Been following Austin since Streamfriends (rip?). I’m a twenty-something dad who probably shouldn’t play games–but collecting bells feels so right. I’m here to shoehorn Foucauldian discourse analyses into a larger critique of Destiny 2 item names… Any takers?
