As some of you may know, this forum has been paid for by VICE for the last 6 years. However, with the recent announcement that Waypoint is being shuttered, we need to move to a new server and domain in order to keep these forums running for an affordable cost.
The server migration will begin in approximately one hour. Once we start the data transfer, this forum will be placed in read-only mode. The transfer will probably take a few hours, assuming everything goes well. (You might want to hold off on starting to write any new posts until after the migration!)
Once the migration is complete, the new URL for the forum will be https://discourse.zone. That currently redirects here, but will soon point to the new server, so you can update your bookmarks now. This copy of the forum (https://forum.waypoint.vice.com) will remain in read-only mode in order to direct folks to our new home, until the subscription expires at the end of the month.
Please note that if you navigate to discourse.zone during the data transfer you will see an empty forum from a fresh install. Don’t bother signing up or interacting with it in this state as its data will be completely overwritten when the transfer completes.
