It’s always good to explicitly check the legal parts of a document with regards to distribution of materials.
Humble bundle is giving away Endless Space (1) with all of the DLC for free while supplies last.
It’s not as good as the later Endless games, but it’s still absolutely worth a play though or two to see the beginnings of how Amplitude builds explicit story into MOO/Civ style games.

This is kind of a weird PSA, but Catherine is in a Humble Bundle right now, and since you can adjust the distribution of your payment, you can make it so none of the money goes to Atlus. Epic Game Store is doing this thing where you can redeem a code for… “creators”…? At the store and support them with a discount from now until Nov. 18th.
It all seems… kind of sketchy? I don’t really know enough about this program.
HOWEVER, I’ve found a code for a charity, so I feel more comfortable donating to this! It’s for Gamers Outreach, which is a charity devoted to giving hospitalized children access to video games.
If anyone else knows of other good folks to support this way, I would love to know!

The tldr is creators get $5 for every 10,000 vbucks spent or 5%+ from a game sale. Game sale is set by the publisher but minimum is 5%. It’s meant to be a way to encourage Steamers to play and promote a game but Epic handles the paying of them instead of the studio.
The downside is you can’t pick who you want supporting your game so you may end up with a problematic/bad individual who may be driving sales to you but is also getting paid.
In theory could be a good system if the publisher/studio had more control over it but like other parts of EGS it’s not 100% there yet.

Company of Heroes 2 is free on Steam until November 18th.

Company of Heroes 2 is a really good game! Both singleplayer and multiplayer are fun and they’ve done a good job of updating it over the years. It actually has a small but active competitive community that’s interesting to check in on from time to time.
