Some Developers Don't Know Their Games Are Streaming on GeForce Now

Over the weekend, The Long Dark became the latest game to disappear from GeForce Now, Nvidia’s cloud streaming service. The Long Dark game director Raphael van Lierop said on Twitter that Nvidia didn’t ask permission for The Long Dark to appear, and said “devs should control where their games exist.” van Lierop did not rule out having the game come back.

There’s a degree of irony around Blizzard’s attitude here given how much of their success is tied to PC bangs (LAN cafes).
But as difficult and complicated as it would be for Nvidia to seek out agreements with publishers/developers before adding them to the service, I think that’s the right thing to do. It reeks of that “better to apologise later than ask permission” attitude that favours speed to market over doing right by others.
