Hello all. I’m a computer science teacher and I’d like to find some interesting, fairly easy to read tech articles/sources for my year 12 and 13 students to read (So that’s 16-18 year olds). I teach mainly middle-class boys so I’d like to find articles that would increase their world view and stop them from having reddit as their main news source.

My mind immediately went to Wired Magazine though perhaps you’d like something more challenging. Here are some other resources to consider.
National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine: A ton of free pdfs of science and technology textbooks. Depending on the week’s topic you could pull a chapter from one of the many books.
Tech Briefs: Articles, white papers, and other media on a variety of engineering issues
Pew Internet and American Life Project: articles and studies on internet and technology trends in the United States
Science and Development Network: News articles in a variety of scientific areas

I don’t know about the politics from this source but I do read the physical copy sometimes and there are some interesting articles in there.
