To be honest the only reason i recognize this game was because it was referenced in Katawa Crash.

I’d never seen Tecmo Super Bowl before, but this game sounds like a great little thing. I can’t imagine an American football video game on the NES made much of a splash in the United Kingdom and/or Europe, but the abstraction in this game makes it sound like it’d have great hooks, even for someone without a basic interest in the game itself.
