My favorite Christmas album of all time is Like a Gift From God or Whatever, because its the only one I know that namedrops both Emo revival and Disney’s hit film Frozen
Other than that I really love the Belle and Sebastian Christmas Peel Session which really flirts the line between the Joyous and Depressing on its Christmas Tracks
It feels weirdly mainstream to say this but I love fairytale in New York. I try to make it the first song I hear at the start of December.
Out of curiosity, I think it’s really popular in the UK, is it well known in America?
For whatever reason David Bowie and Bing Crosby’s Little Drummer Boy is really emotional for me. I have no serious connection to either musician, I think it’s just one of those things. I haven’t really analyzed my feelings on that yet.
