The Name of the Wind

It’s the tenth anniversary of the novel that got me interested in fantasy again, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss! The way he combined a traditional fantasy narrative with lovely prose and a world that I was actually interested pretty much got me back into a genre that I’d written off as reactionary claptrap, among other (inaccurate) insults.

So! You ready for the tenth anniversary? Gonna pick up that tenth anniversary edition of the book? Have issues with Rothfuss? Or have you just never heard of the guy? No matter your take, it’s welcomed!

That books is really fun and creates an intriguing world. I have issues with certain characters and details of the story, but at this point I just want the next book to come out so I can be free of this terrible curse.

Oh, let’s be real–there ain’t no gettin’ off of this train we’re on. Rothfuss has got Valve syndrome with his third book, and I don’t think we’re getting a gender-flipped fanfic to make it all better. XD
