It’s been more than 10 years since Left 4 Dead 2, yet another series that would have made for a natural sequel at some point. But Valve, being Valve, hasn’t touched Left 4 Dead in more than 10 years, and according to a statement released to IGN, that’s not gonna change.

Valve has long since passed the point where they would need to make a new game. They could rent-seek off Steam and still employ enough folks to run my grade school.

I mentioned it in the should I buy this game thread already but if you’re looking for a spiritual successor to L4D check out World War Z. It’s a great game with a fun take on the formula!
