Save Point 2022
Hello, Waypoint community! Once again, the Waypoint staff and community are proud to announce we are collaborating to host Save Point, a three-day long livestream in support of National Network of Abortion Funds, which builds power with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice.
We will be streaming from 10AM EST - 2AM EST on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday October 19 - 21, 2022
You can donate at: savepoint.stream
As with previous events, Save Point 2022 will be jointly run by both Waypoint staff and the Waypoint community moderators, and will feature guests and friends of the site. The Waypoint Mod team will fill in during Lunch, and at night after Rob, Ren, Patrick, Cado, Natalie, and friends wrap for the day.
On Wednesday the Mods will be drafting MTG Arenas at lunch time, and playing Geoguessr, Spelunky 2, Phasmophobia, and Resident Evil Randomizer in the evening.

Who are the
National Network of Abortion Funds?
In their own words, the National Network of Abortion Funds works toward a world “where every reproductive decision, including abortion, takes place in thriving communities that are safe, peaceful, and affordable. We envision a world where all people have the power and resources to care for and affirm their bodies, identities, and health for themselves and their families—in all areas of their lives. As we shift the conversation about abortion, it will become a real option, accessible without shame or judgment.”
NNAF’s core Values are:
Intersectionality. NNAF recognizes the connections between systems of oppression. A comprehensive vision of justice for our communities must involve working towards economic, racial, gender, and reproductive justice.
Autonomy. Every person has the non-negotiable human right to determine whether, when, and how to create family. People deserve unrestricted access to the rights, information, and resources to care for themselves and their families. NNAF is determined to build a base of shared power from the ground while standing alongside other movements in solidarity.
Collective Power. People who are most directly and disproportionately impacted by structural barriers are the best architects of solutions that center their voices, experiences, and leadership.
Compassion. NNAF advocates for a reduction of shame and an increase in compassion for people as they navigate life. Reproductive coercion, burdens, and barriers to reproductive healthcare are all forms of violence.
"Member organizations work across our network to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access. Some of them work with clinics to help pay for your abortion. Some of them offer support such as transportation, childcare, translation, doula services, and somewhere to stay if you have to travel to get your abortion.
Our network’s organizations are autonomous, diverse, and united to move towards a world we want to live in, where all reproductive options, including abortion, are valued and free of coercion.
There are over 80 organizations in our network. NNAF provides leadership development, infrastructure support, and organizing technical assistance to our members because we know funds are uniquely positioned to meet the needs of their communities today, while being a powerful force for political and social change in the future."
Why Support National Network of Abortion Funds
Every person has the non-negotiable human right to determine whether, when, and how to create family. People deserve unrestricted access to the rights, information, and resources to care for themselves and their families. The National Network of Abortion Funds fights for that right.
In 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a major bulwark for reproductive rights. That means now more than ever, there are people all across the U.S. that are in need of help accessing abortions.
With the call to “Fund Abortion, Build Power!” in mind, the National Network of Abortion Funs is building an active grassroots base of people directly affected by barriers to abortion access to inform and implement necessary cultural and political change. Through a vision of collective power and participatory processes in partnership with our members, the NNAF is building organizing power that centers people who have abortions.
Save Point 2022 is streaming in support of The National Network of Abortion Funds! People facing barriers to abortion access often face more than one, beyond the cost alone. That’s why many abortion funds also provide practical support, including transportation, childcare payment, lodging, translation services, abortion doulas, and more. Your support will help these needs get met for everyone.
Abortion funds have been navigating the difficult and evolving terrain of trying to get an abortion for a long time. While we don’t always know what political changes will bring, The National Network of Abortion Funds will always work to provide a safety net of care. That’s why we’re also fighting for everyone to have access to resources and support for ALL reproductive options in the future. Donate to NNAF at savepoint.stream!
