I disagree with him sure but I can at least see where he’s coming from if there are very specific things about the series he enjoys. There could be more baffling opinions about the series for sure.
While I enjoyed and shared in the Nintendo nostalgia, I was disappointed that no one mentioned the company’s complete and continual failure to make their games accessible to disabled folks. Halfcoordinated in particular has raised my awareness of the rigidity of Nintendo systems/controls/visual options that are mildly annoying to me but completely prevent many folks from playing at all. In the same vein as the Waypoint crew reminding folks about bad labor practices, I would appreciate Nintendo not getting a pass for making good games but being terrible on accessibility and having a supremely opaque development process (for the purpose of reporting on labor conditions).
