I finished the main story of Horizon: Zero Dawn. It was fun for the most part, told an interesting story, but I’m not sure if I’ll go back for the DLC…maybe at some point down the road. Honestly, by the time I finished it, I was quite ready for it to be done, as the combat had grown a bit tiresome. It’s yet another open world game that (at least for my taste), has entirely too many repetitive things to do in the world. I enjoyed my time with it, but I’m ready to move on.
I played a few hours of Spider-Man, and while I like a lot of what that game is doing, I’m putting it down for a little while; I need another game or two first that isn’t a massive open world before I dive too deep into another one of those.
So I settled in over the past week and played The Last of Us Remastered. I have a lot of feelings about it, some really positive, some really negative. I just finished the main game last night, and I plan to play the Left Behind DLC by the end of this weekend. Overall, I’m glad I played it, it’s extremely well-crafted, and I appreciate some of the things they tried to do with the story and character development. I know that’s really vague, but I’m still working through in my head what I thought about some of the story arcs. Might post some more thoughts later after I let it stew for a bit.
